You trash the whole high-tech, supercool thing if your helmet stinks. So you need to keep that from happening.

The only solution is to wash the pads. You pour sweat into them as you ride. That needs to come out. Rinsing the helmet under the tap won’t take care of it. The best solution is to take out the pads, put them into a little mesh washing bag and toss them in the washer.
