Prepare to inflate

First, this is not in the instructions, but make sure the red safety button is in the up position. If you are using a non-threaded cartridge insert cartridge into cup with the narrow end up. Without touching the trigger screw the cup slowly into the head unit cartridge begins to contact puncture pin. I found that the cup would not screw completely tight against the upper part of the inflator, this appears to be normal for this size cartridge. If you are using a threaded cartridge unscrew and set aside the cup. Slowly screw cartridge into threaded socket without touching trigger until cartridge begins to contact puncture pin. When you have it in contact with puncture pin twist firmly and quickly to tighten and puncture seal. Be careful and make sure you tighten it completely or you may have escaping gas.

Inflating

When inflating with a Schrader valve you will screw the nozzle onto the valve stem. When inflating Presta valves open the valve and push the nozzle onto the valve. One hint for easier removal on Presta valves is to pull and unthread the nozzle at the same time. The Ultraflate Plus must be in an upright position, do not use it upside down or sideways. The instruction card did not include information about the red safety button however it is pretty easy to figure out. Press the red safety button down and your ready to go, now squeeze the trigger with a short burst of air. Squeeze again until you have your tire at the proper psi. I tied to inflate a tire on my mountain bike and had great success. The 16 g did a great job and inflated the tire to 40 psi. I placed the inflator into a freezer for a while and decided to inflate again and I was able to get 30 psi at a very cold temperature.

Conclusion
If you are looking for a great way to inflate your tires in an emergency or to top off your tires I highly recommend the Ultraflate Plus. It is a very durable, well constructed, and works well inflating your bike tires.
