Ultraflate Plus Bike Inflator Review
Reviewed By: Tim Cameron
Reviewed On: February 1, 2004
Product Page: Genuine Innovations
Price: $18.95

In Depth Look

First, of course I dropped the bike inflator with cartridge installed from ten feet onto concrete. The high strength glass reinforced nylon held up perfectly, only minor facial scratches. There could be damage if the inflator hit on the brass valve but in our test this did not happen.

Cartridges –
Care must be taken with respect to purchasing Co2 cartridges since there are so many cartridges being made for discount stores. Most of these so-called discount store cartridges are made with inferior products and may contain harmful oils that could damage your inflator. Never, never use anything but a good quality Co2 cartridge in your Ultraflate Plus. The Ultraflate Plus can use Innovations 12g, 16g, 25g, and super 40g cartridges. Some areas of safety are worth mentioning including keep cartridges out of direct sunlight and never expose to temperatures above 120 degrees. Never discharge towards face or body and do not store in an enclosed vehicle. Co2 is a suffocant gas and should never be discharged in confined spaces like tents. Never try and take a cartridge into an airport or try and board a plane with one. Co2 cartridges are not toys and should be kept away from children. Please remember to always recycle cartridges.
