Assembly and Installation
The unit is 90% assembled out of the box you just have to bolt on a plate and two arm brackets. This was very easy and anyone can do it with just an open or boxed in wrench or adjustable wrench. I really like the lock so that you can lock the entire unit to your receiver hitch. This should prevent someone from stealing your stuff in just seconds or minutes. It would take someone much longer than that to remove the entire rack from the hitch. You also use your own lock to lock your bikes to the rack. The fold down feature is very nice because you don’t have to remove the rack or your bikes to open the rear window or door on your SUV when you need to get something out. This is very good. I placed the rack on my vehicle and locked the rack down. I placed a bike on the rack and set out for a ride. I drove around a while and felt very confident that my bike was safe. I tried the fold down feature a few times and it worked extremely well.
