The APX has a dual CNC machined aluminum rocker bolt type clamp that should last for years. The screws appear to be stainless steel which will never rust. It is bolted and glued to the natural carbon post. The APX weights only 230 grams however with my application I had to use a shim for it to work on our test bike which is a Specialized Edura Comp. That added a few grams that was no big deal. The APX adjusted fairly quickly to the Brooks saddle that we were using today.
