Introduction

The Flash X rear bicycle light will be looked at today in detail to see how well it is made and how well it will hold up under normal conditions. The Flash X is made by Ravx who are based in Vista California and has been making bicycle components for several years now. They make the famous Speed X bike saddle and the Shock X bike suspension pump that we will also be taking a look at the next few days. I took the Flash X out of the box and I first noticed the mount. The mount had a belt clip exposed after unclipping the post mount from it. I really like that feature which makes it multi-use. You could clip it on yourself while jogging, walking, and of course use it while biking. It could also be used in emergency situations to summons help or for automobile roadside break downs. Everyone should have one or two of these in there auto. The post mount comes with a rubber shim which will adhere very well to your seat post and it is fully adjustable. The Flash X comes with batteries, yes comes with batteries which is very unusual today. They are the standard general purpose AAA batteries not alkaline. More about this later. The Flash X has 4 modes all of which I liked very much. They are steady, running, flashing, and random all performed well.
