Detailed Look
The Probar was developed by Art Eggertsen, known as "The Food Coach". Art founded and directed the Utah Wellness Center and has owned and operated several restaurants that specializes in health and nutrition. I was a lobbyist several years ago and found out that Art lobbied for a large non-profit several years ago as well. Art developed the Probar with 17 whole foods that are 70% raw. This gives you optimal nutrient quality. The Probar is much more digestible than other bars because the probar is 70% raw and raw food that are unprocessed digests better. The Probar is blended not cooked or baked. Processing protein requires a lot of water and the Probar is lower in protein and sodium so requires less hydration. The bar also has a long shelf life because of the nuts, seeds, dried fruits, and rolled grains. The Probar supplies a broad spectrum of healthy fats. Some of the foods you will find in the Probar is raisins, sunflower seeds, raw cashews, cornflakes, apples, rice, almonds, pumkin seeds, and more.
Conclusion
I strongly recommend the Probar to anyone wishing to raise the bar on their endurance and performance. It is high energy food that lasts a very long time. I found that extreme hot temperatures (like leaving in your car on a summer day) does not adversly affect the Probar. It is a good tasting all natural meal replacement high energy performance snack. The Probar is great for cycling or any outdoor sport activity. Cycling Reviews gives Probar our "Highly Recommended" status.
