In-Depth Look
The package presentation is full color and has lots of information right on the box. You can see screen shots of the display in various formats and information on the software package. It is a very nice presentation that should market very well. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was a little white piece of paper that said “Important” so I decided I would check it out. It contained information about the battery compartment and how to properly open it. They must have had questions from consumers before. It made it clear, to prevent stripping the plastic piece which opens the compartment, use the metal “washer” attached to the carrying pouch. It is also used to remove the Flash card. It cautions not to use quarters or other coins with edges, or coins that do not fit snug. This is just an ounce of prevention to not damage the plastic screw. There is also information on the sheet concerning downloading the latest software from their site. Other useful information on the sheet is that you can check for a later version of the manual at their website. There is also a tech support email address if you have questions and I decided to email them and see how long it took for them to respond. The tech department responded very quickly to my request. The unit has the ability to separate your trip into segments or laps. You can compare these segments as you ride or when you complete your ride.
