Introduction
Lizard Skins has been making bike handle bar grips for many years and we are taking a look at the Moab Dual Compound Grips today. Lizard Skins has been in business over ten years and makes some of the best biking products today. They have distributors in over 60 countries. Lizard Skins manufacture grips, carbon fiber chainstays, water tube insulators and much more. They also have some great biking gloves and clothes. The Moab Dual compound grips are great for all around use especially mountain biking or downhilling. All Lizard Skins bike grips come with end plugs.
Installation
The installation is quite simple after you get your old grips off your bars. You should clean your handlebar thoroughly after removing the old grips. Spray a little hairspray or grip adhesive to the bar end and slide the grips onto the bar. It is necessary to wait 24 hours for the adhesive to dry before riding your bike. Simple enough, although it sometimes takes a little bit of man power to accomplish.
Time to ride
This time I am riding a paved bike trail that is a total of 8 miles. The ride was easy and the grips made for a comfortable ride. They are a bright blue color and they are kind of spongy to the touch. They feel just great with or without cycling gloves. I also rode my bike 17 miles on the Virginia Creeper Trail with the Moab grips and they felt really good on this ride. I personally like the Moab grips and look forward to using them for some time.
Conclusion
The Lizard Skins Moab Dual Compound grips will make any biker happy. What more can I say, they are very comfortable. If you need a new set of grips, give them a try. I look forward to reviewing the other great line of Lizard Skins grips soon. Cycling Reviews would like to thank Lizard Skins for making this review possible. More to come.........
