Introduction
We are looking in detail at the Fruita hydration pack manufactured by Golite. Golite has been making all kinds of lightweight outdoor products since 1999. They make a great assortment of tents, hydration packs, sleeping bags, and some of the best outdoor active wear clothing you can find. We have previously reviewed their men's Crank cycling shorts
and were very impressed so much that Golite received our "Highly Recommeneded" award. Only five other companies have received this award to date. The Fruita hydration pack is made of Arrowhead Corura ripstop and has a 3 liter TPE Big Bore Tanker hydration system with the patented "Bite Me" valve made by TFO, a division of Nalgene. The Fruita pack has a good sternum strap and a very nice contoured adjustable web type belt. There is also three pockets on the rear one that is idea to put your helmet or cycling shoes in. A nice zippered security compartment is a great place to store your cell phone or other valuables. For safety, there is a reflective fabric patch and piping. It has a haul loop and elastic lock retainer strap along with a web type strap with side-release buckle for cinching helmet into rear sleeve. Now let's take a more detailed look at the Golite Fruita.
