In Depth Look

The first thing I did was try pumping up a MTB tire on one of our test bikes. It had to be a presta valve so I got a chance to interchange the valves on the Cyclaire pump. The instructions were very clear as to how to make this change. I placed the air line on the valve and quickly increased the pressure from 0 psi to 45 psi in just a matter of minutues. It did take a few pulls but was not at all hard to do. It really seemed like you were pulling on a mower cord only easier. My grandaughter happen to be at the shop visiting today and she wanted to see what I was doing. I decided to let her try her hand at the pump. She was able to pull the cord several times before getting tired. Next, it was on to a schrader valve. I had one on my full suspension bikes but didn't not attempt to try that since it is not designed for suspension shocks. I had a schrader valve that I tried the unit on and with just 10 pulls I had it to a rideable pressure. I think I could really like this pump. I decided to travel to a local MTB trailhead and see if their was any riders today that I could show the pump too. There was a few that I had try the pump and others saw the attention and came over to see what everyone was looking at. There was 14 riders that tried the Cyclaire pump at the trailhead and no one had anything negative to say about it other than it was a little larger than their pump.
